What Do You Keep Repeating?
This week on That Sounds Fun, Pastor Derwin Gray is helping us continue to unpack fasting—why we do it and what it does between us and God. We’re also talking about memorizing Scripture, preparing for Holy Week, and what grace really looks like. You are going to love this conversation. Listen to it HERE, before you keep reading!
I can’t stop thinking about Dr. Derwin mentioning “virtue ethics.” He mentioned his definition of virtue ethics is that “you are what you repeatedly do.”
According to Google, “Virtue ethics is a character-based moral philosophy focusing on developing virtuous habits (eg, honesty, courage, justice) to achieve a fulfilling life, rather than merely following rules or focusing on consequences.”
You are what you repeatedly do.
Developing virtuous habits to achieve a fulfilling life.
I kinda hate this AND I kinda don’t hate this and here’s why.
